Excalibur Tattoo & Design, LLC is not your typical tattoo shop. It is a small, multi-service studio offering a variety of personalized service products. We provide bodyart services such as custom tattoos, cosmetic tattoos and body piercing. We also offer a limited art and design service for small business owners.

Excalibur Tattoo & Design, LLC is located in the heart of Shelton Center and easily accessible from most major points of the Fairfield, Waterbury and New Haven counties. We are right next to Cleto's package store and kitty-corner from Dunkin' Donuts on Howe avenue (RT 110). Go to my Directions to the Studio page for directions on how to get here by various routes.

Appointment Scheduling

All tattoo work requires an appointment to best serve you and your needs. Appointments for new work need to be made ahead of time in person at the studio. Bring all source material and notes with you. This allows me to determine the amount of work needed. See About your appointment for more information about appointment requirements.

Depending on the season, I may be booked anywhere from a month to several months in advance so book early. Scheduled appointments require a $100 deposit to hold your space. All deposits will be put towards the final tattoo price. Deposits can be in cash or credit card. If you will be unable to make your scheduled appointment, please call a soon as you can. Cancelations on the day of the scheduled appointment will forfeit any deposit.

Walk-ins are rarely taken and only if our schedule allows. Scheduled apointments take precedence over all walk-ins. If you walk in without an appointment we can not guarantee you time.

Studio Hours

Tattooing is done on a "by appointment only" basis. Studio hours are posted on the left and are subject to change and closings without notice. Always call ahead at (203) 924-2451 to make sure someone will be here to receive you.

Tattoo Pricing

Tattoo work is charged at a standard $100 per hour with a two hour minimum. A one hour deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking to reserve your appointment.

For your convenience Excalibur Tattoo & Design, LLC accepts VISA, MasterCard and Discover cards and most debit cards. Checks are accepted only upon approval and returned checks will be charged an additional $30.00 bank service fee.

Tattoo Requirements

The following requirements need to be met before we can tattoo you. Please make sure you comply with all of these in order to save time and avoid misunderstandings.

Age Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years of age to get a tattoo on your own.
• An emancipated person under 18 years of age must provide a copy of their court papers.
• A parent or legal guardian must sign a consent for anyone 16 or 17 years of age. Legal guardians must provide a copy of their court papers.
• Absolutely no tattooing of private areas can be done on an unemancipated person under 18 years of age.

ID Requirements

• A valid photo ID must be presented at time of tattooing.
  Suitable photo ID's must have the following:
  1. name
  2. date of birth
  3. current photo
• A state issued driver's license, state photo ID or valid passport are considered suitable forms of identification.
• School issued photo ID's are acceptable as long as they meet the above three criteria.
• Secondary documents will be needed if your photo ID does not link your name or date of birth to the photo. They include birth certificates, driving permits or other documents containing your name and date of birth.
• Anyone under 18 years of age are required to have a parent or legal guardian present and they must provide a valid photo ID.
